BARRY ROSS

Barry Ross graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976, moved to Dawson Creek and established a veterinary practice.

He raised his family locally and participated in local volunteer organizations. In 2004, Barry retired from veterinary medicine.

Barry is involved in business ventures in Dawson Creek and was nominated as “Veterinarian of the Year” by the Western Canadian Assoc. of Bovine Practitioners”, a society with over 300 member veterinarians. 

He received an award from the “Peace River Cattlemen’s Assoc” for long time contributions to the industry. He is also a past director and treasurer on “Peace Region Beef Promotional Society”. Also a past director on local exhibition board

JOE PILLSWORTH

Joe was born and raised in Dawson Creek area and employed for many years in oil patch. He owns a ranch with wife Pat and raised 3 children. He has run backhoe and cat as a owner/operator and provides custom hay hauling.

His volunteer work includes:
- instrumental in aquiring land for the local Hats and Chaps horse club
-announcing at local charity and agricultural events
-sponsored fund raiser for disadvantaged people

His hobbies include team roping, golfing, horse back riding
